My 20+years as a transportation recruiting expert combined with my broad experience and knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry are tremendous assets in finding the right candidate, or company, and working through the hiring process. Levels of candidate placement include C-Suite, GM’s, transitional President’s, VP’s, Directors and mid-level management covering a vast range of roles and skill sets. I am seasoned at negotiating compensation, relocation packages, non-competes, vacation time, and the other variables it takes to successfully bring companies and people together.
My transportation career began in operations with a publicly traded truckload carrier. I started soon after college and for twelve years gained valuable experience and found many opportunities to make a contribution to the organization. The company went through rapid growth after deregulation. This environment created new dynamics and challenges in which I was able to play a key part and expand beyond the typical floor operations role.
Working with IT on special projects which included a number of significant large-scale software designs was especially exciting. QUALCOMM was new, TOFC intermodal and trailers going into Mexico were emerging and I was involved in adapting to these changes. Frequently spending time in the shop in order to pull operations and maintenance together was particularly beneficial and enlightening. A new majority owner led to acquisitions and as the sister companies were merged, the organizational needs presented new challenges to impact. The opportunity to work with every department and sister companies was invaluable and an extensive educational experience. My spouse of 20 + years is also career logistics – it is ingrained in my life.
